Big Boat Sailing
Big Boat: Skippered a Beneteau First & J105 in the Beachpoint Jr. Sailing Distance Champs of Long Island, a 100 mile overnight teen regatta, in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Earning 2nd Place in 2022. This unique regatta allows teenagers to sail 'Big Boats' distance race in the dark without adult participation. Sailors are required to be navigation and Safety @ Sea certified (annually). My high school race team participated in a similar distance regatta, Gear Buster, although it took place during the day.
High School &Junior Sailing
I started sailing Opti's at the age of five and never looked back. After racing Opti's for many years, I moved up to the Pixel Class. The Pixel was the first two handed boat that I skippered. I sailed a variety of boats FEVA's, O'Pen BiCs, and others before settling on the C420. I have been racing the C420 with my twin brother for a number of years.
My high school does not have a sailing team; I am currently racing on a composite team at the WaterFront Center in Oyster Bay, NY.
